Mexican beach pebbles are smooth, rounded stones in deep charcoal and slate tones that take on a rich, glossy look when wet. Tumbled by the surf, they have a polished, uniform feel that reads as intentional and high-end the moment they go down.
Designers reach for them in modern xeriscapes, around water features, and as a clean topdressing for potted plants and contemporary planting beds. Because the color is so consistent, a single band of beach pebbles can frame a path or pool deck with a crisp, finished edge.
They are sold by the bag or pallet by size, from small accent grades up to larger statement stones. For ground cover, plan on a two to three inch layer over weed fabric so the soil stays hidden and the color stays dark.
